A happy ending at last for Vinnie…

Posted by on Aug 18, 2010 in Association News, Donkeys, Rescues | 3 comments
Yesterday we took our lovely Vinnie to his new home in the Correze where he will now live with new adopters Helga & Paul….and of course Lulu the donkey. Helga had arranged to privately purchase Lulu from her previous owners due to their circumstances changing. Since she was local, we collected her so that Vinnie could have a companion immediately. We currently have other donkeys looking...

Nanette…quite simply amazing!

Posted by on Apr 27, 2010 in Association News, Donkeys, Hoofcare, Rescues | 4 comments
We thought Nanette deserved a post all of her own as the transformation in her from the neglected little donkey we rescued in June 2008, is nothing short of inspirational! Posted by on Feb 23, 2010 in Association News, Donkeys, Rescues | 0 comments

Law 5/2002 from the Animal Protection Act of Extremadura forbids these practices that, regretfully, are still carried out with the Council’s complicity and the silence...

Daisy & Dora venture off to their new home…

Posted by on Nov 1, 2009 in Association News, Donkeys | 1 comment
Long term donkey friends Daisy & Dora moved down to the Haute Vienne today, to live with their new adopters Shirley and Gordon. These two were probably the most well-behaved donkeys we have come across this year to load and travel. Luckily we got them delivered and settled in before the  before the heavens opened….     Thanks go to their new adopters for offering them such a...

We couldn’t resist posting some photos of Brandy (formerly Gucci) and her new pal enjoying the sun this week. (P.S Brandy is the one with the bigger ears!)
