Deadline fast approaching for MEP's to sign….

There are now just 11 days left until the extended deadline (Feb 11th)  for MEP’s to sign Written Declaration 54/2009, calling for a review of the legislation governing the long distance transport of horses to slaughter.

    I’ve tried sending e-mails to French MEPs (I’m a UK ex-Pat living in France).

    NONE of the e-mails were accepted – they were ALL ‘bounced back’.

    That’s a sign of the democratic process isn’t it. These wretched people take our money – but don’t even have the decency or the courtesy to respond to e-mails.

    Democracy in the EU – don’t think so somehow.

    I’ll keep on trying – but it’s very disappointing…..
